PS/CoS Robes

One of the things that I was most upset about was the complete lack of decent robes available! Most of the robes that you can buy, usually around Halloween, that are made to look like Hogwarts Robes, are poorly made (though the cost around $30) and are nothing like those from the movies. Unless you, or someone you know, could sew, you were really out of luck.

I happened to stumble upon the most impressive Robes being sold on Ebay just before Halloween. After contacting the seller, I learned that we lived nearby one another, and got to see the Robes in person. (The person who makes the robes is married to Joe who makes the wands!)

These robes are made of Black on the outside and lined with black. They include button clasps, a wand pocket, a hood, and your House Patch can be sewn on (upon request IF you send it to them). These are the most BEAUTIFUL robes that I have seen. They are so incredibly realistic and well made, they honestly look just like you walked off of the set! Many people online are now making and selling robes. It just depends on what style and quality you are looking for, how much you are willing to spend, and how quickly you need them. If you'd like to try to make them yourself, find a pattern that you think best shows what you picture. Many people have even made their own patterns. Another trick is to lie down on the material, have someone cut the shape of the robe you'd like (remembering to leave extra on all edges for sewing it together and hemming it) from around you and then just piecing it together. If you are not able to sew, use a judge's robe, or graduation gown.
