Ties

For those HP fans wanting the most accurate costume. In the third Movie, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, the school uniforms change! In the first two movies, the ties are wide striped in the house colours. In the third movie, they change to a solid tie (Maroon for Gryffindor) with small, thin stripes on either side of a larger stripe in the complimenting colour. The original tie is the most widely known, most recognizable. However, the new ties are now available from Wizardties.com!

Like the House Jumpers, House Ties can be found in numerous places on the internet. The same tie can be sold for different prices depending on where you look! Make sure that you shop around before picking one! Also, try searching on Ebay. You can find many house ties there for great prices!







Scarves

Many people are now offering scarves in the house colours. If you go onto Ebay, you can do a search for scarves, or Harry Potter Scarves, and find quite a few items. Other places sell scarves, and every one is different. Alivan's scarves are knitted from thinner yarn and have a finer floppier quality about them. You just have to really look at the scarves, what they are made from, the length, the tassles, and such to make your decision. The Warner Brothers Store also offers atleast the Gryffindor Scarf, but it's shorter than others that are offered.

The scarves also changed for the third movie, much like the ties. The new scarves are a solid darker colour (such as Maroon for Gryffindor) with two bars of the second colour (Old Gold for Gryffindor) making what I've heard refered to as a 'Trapped Bar' pattern - a small gold stripe, a small maroon stripe, a small gold stripe. Hobbie's Wizard Wear is the only place that I know of that are selling the new style scarves at the moment. The other scarves can be found at numerous places!





Hats

Hats are not widely worn by the students at Hogwarts, though they do don them for special occasions like the Leaving Feast. You can find the hats sold at Alivan's in two different styles. The Student's black hat, and the Student's Dress black hat with brim. They never wear the brimmed hat in the movies, atleast up until this point. But the non-brimmed hat is worn on several occasions.
